The Prime Mover

Two years ago a man phoned me and asked if I could make a short film for him about his invention. He had seen my work on The Icelandic TV, RÚV, and liked what he saw. He said he had not much money and asked if I was interested - which I was - so I made several short films for him and put them on a DVD with a menu that is the background of this photo and the front and back of the DVD.

The invention is a turbine that produces electricity and you sink it into the sea and it works both on high and low tide - so it's unique and he won first price at The International Inventors Award last year - as you can see here.
Now he has money and he want me to make a documentary about his invention - and now I know what I will be doing this summer.

The turbine reminded me of an orchid so I used a picture of an orchid as background for the DVD cover, the menu and in the films.
