B0nxie
Also known as 'great skua' or 'stercorarius skua'. A pretty tough bird. I saw about eight on my walk from The Loons to The Choin and then over Marwick Head to Birsay palace. The wind had veered to the SW but was still blowing very strongly.
Among other birds, I saw a pair of snow bunting in summer plumage. They visit in winter in their appropriate plumage but have mostly gone now.
One of the cryptic crossword setters in The Guardian newspaper is called Bonxie. I wonder if this is him, or her.
