Life on the Good Intent

Stirling Old town Cemetery

Not a bad day - sun shone!
Took car for service and MOT, rather than go home and wait I walked into Stirling and after a leisurely coffee I walked up to the castle and strolled round the cemetery. I found some really old gravestones and took a lot of pictures. It is in such a stunning setting in the lea of the castle. Apparently according to the Stirling tourist website

"This is no ordinary graveyard. The famous poet William Wordsworth was so moved by it that he wrote 'We know of no sweeter cemetery in all of our wanderings than that of Stirling.'"

Down in the city centre the farmers' market was in full swing so I bought some delicious fish soup from Arran and two amazing loaves from the dishy breadmaker man.

The car passed its MOT requiring only a new rear wiper blade - not bad for a ten year old car with 142k miles on the clock and two lady owners, the second of whom is less than careful (me).
Came home and had splendid lunch of said fish soup and tonight I went to my brother's for some of Tricia's fantastic homemade lasagne. She hosted a jewellery party where I spent some of the money I'd expected to save on the car! Swings and roundabouts!
The only downside is that Finn has passed on his sneezing virus to the Donegal Boys. They don't seem ill and don't have runny noses, so no trip to the vet planned yet!
So this mono image of the cemetry may be a surprise - no dark thoughts, it just looked more interesting in mono, but I may change it back in the morning.
Catch up tomorrow.
