500! Anyone for a Game of Cards...

Apparently Five Hundred is a card game which originated in America shortly before 1900 and was very popular until about 1920 when it lost popularity. It is similar to Bridge and according to Wiki is still played in Australia.

The standard pack contains 43 playing cards, the Joker is included and the 2s, 3s and two 4s are removed. Players play in pairs similar to Bridge. Sounds complicated to me, I still get muddled with Rummy!

Thank you for all your kind comments, the banter, helpful suggestions and advice these past 500 days, all very much appreciated. And of course the great blips, stories and words, not forgetting the great team behind it all.

Off now for a walk, and if I play my cards right (!) I could be treated to a pub lunch to celebrate my blip birthday!

Enjoy your day....

PS The cards were not picked at random, anyone noticed.... ...
