One cep to heaven
Quite the biggest mushroom I've seen - tomato provided for scale... Found this while foraging in the market today (rather than in our garden). We think it's a Boletus of some type or other. Should make a tasty breakfast all fried up with a little butter and piled onto warm crispy bread. Yum.
Bit of a rubbish shot but I think it sums up the day that I was too lazy to take this until the light had almost gone so it's all a bit blurry.
Today was a beautiful sunny day - with a sky colour that our daughter christened 'Actually Blue'. We had a late start to the day, thanks to the late finish to yesterday, though the kids were up every half hour or so from 5.30 (yawn) but throwing lots of brioche rolls, drinks and i-pods in their room seemed to get us the lie-in we needed. After the market we had a long lunch and a longer snooze in the sun. Now Mr B's inside cooking up something wonderfully garlicky. A very relaxing day.
