Jesus

A little trip to London. After a bit of time West (have tried numerous times to take interesting shots of people around Portobello market in full swing, but they always just end up looking like a bunch of folk standing in the road so you ain't getting one this time either) it was time to head East. Rough Trade East off Brick Lane's as good a place to meet your friend as any. And let's be honest, it wasn't like I wasn't, ahem, going there anyway.

So, East is a more than slightly ridiculous place these days with all the hipsters and the nonsense that goes with it, but it's still a really interesting area. Ended up on Columbia Road (famous of course for its Sunday flower market) for a couple of teatime pints in a lovely pub that gradually filled up with a motley array of beards, taches, urban cyclists, geek-chic types and those with a generally bohemian demeanour. On the way back to Hoxton/Shoreditch for more of the same we passed by this place, the subject of today's blip. Quilter Street, bordering the triangle of grass known as Jesus Green, a row of little terraced houses that are now homes to those slightly more affluent than the inhabitants from previous decades. Had a quick look on Google, and there's a decent-looking 2 bedroom up for sale, a snip at £725,000.

Music. Jesus Green? Makes me think of Jesus Summat Else....
