5-Rise Locks
The Bingley 5-Rise Locks are well known for their engineering feat. As their name suggests they are a continual series of 5 locks on the Leeds/Liverpool canal. They were recognised as something special when they were built back in 1774 and 30,000 people turned up to see the opening. They are now Grade 1 listed.
There are many interesting things to blip, but I was taken by the layers of algae, moss and other green slimey stuff that had built up over years on the huge wooden 'doors'.
