Sgwarnog: In the Field

Fountains Abbey is a special spot, as befits a World Heritage Site, and conveniently a half-way point meeting place between ourselves and our Sunderland friends. We missed the best to the morning sun, but had fun clambering through the ruins and walking the gardens. To cap the day off, we had a Red Kite flyover as we were leaving.

"What was your favourite part of the day?" We asked 4yo.

"The playground, my ice cream, and lunch," the predictable reply.

"Not the abbey?"

"No, it didn't have anything in it."
