Chestnut Parade in Bushy Park

Another day and more vintage vehicles. Today was the annual Chestnut Parade in Bushy Park. It's a tradition but I am not convinced its clear why. The timing,location and the name indicate that it's to do with the avenue of Chestnut Trees which are in full bloom for the parade. But there is also a tradition of lots of millitary vehicles participating which goes back to when Bushy was home to a US airbase during the war.

But, it's fun and it was day 2 of celebrating yesteryears transport after the Trolley bus day yesterday. Roll on the summer.
