a baby owl

We went outside to the backyard tonight, when it was dark, and before I even stepped out onto the patio, Steven said, "go get your camera" - wow! This is something I definitely like to hear!
To my surprise, there was a baby owl sitting on the back of one of our patio chairs. He did not seem to mind us at all. We got quite close. Maybe his mom was nearby or maybe he fell out of the nest? I just checked out the window and I don't see him on the back of the chair anymore . . . phew! I was a little worried about him. Steven said he would be just fine and I think he was right. We have seen and heard owls in our backyard before - they were just bigger and they flew away!
