Mother's Day From A Long Way Away
We now live thousands of miles away from our two children, yet modern technology keeps us in touch. We talk (while I say we, it really is my wife who does all the talking while I eavesdrop in the background) daily by phone to our college-aged daughter and a couple of times a month to our son and his wife in Seattle. In between times, there is Facebook, e-mails, and text messages. We probably have more meaningful conversations separated by miles than when we shared the same roof, but a special day like Mother's Day calls for special efforts - like a Skype call from our Seattle kids with both audio AND video. Modern technology comes through once again.
