Phew!

After a catalogue of errors and a very shaky postal service my normal passport is now both lost and expired.

So today we took the five hour round trip to Marseille where the wonderful woman at the British Consulate went through the sheaf of papers and proofs I submitted and gave me a temporary passport. Now I can go to London next week to get a proper passport. Phew.
