....I love the sea and the multitude of devices, symbols and things placed on and around water to provide information to users.

The way I remember the meaning of a red buoy is "pass port wine to your left"...so if the port wine coloured buoy is on my left as I enter a lane or channel, then I'm in the correct place. So, there you are.... ;0)
