Many excellent things have happened today. The eye doctor says we are making positive progress and one eye is clear. He also says the other is good too - I disagreed and he suggested we get some photographs of the back of my eye to make sure. I like a doctor who listens. He also reduced my steroids yet again. Wonderful stuff.
Fuelled by the good news I ripped apart the chests of drawers from my boy's room and took them to the tip. I then considered the bunk beds. They were the first big beds my boy slept in. My babies shared a room and my girl was on the top bunk. For a fleeting second I though about putting them on an auction site. A quick look suggested everyone did that so it was probably pointless. Then a little bit of Dotty popped into my head - I decided to give it a go and with her successful creative and interesting narrative they were sold within 45 minutes! Oh heck, that left me with the task of having to dismantle them ready for uplift on Wednesday.
It was a three man job to take out the last piece. That's when the monkeys arrived and started having fun and remebering all the games they had played on them. I couldn't let them go without a shot of them behind the bars. As ever one of the monkeys can't stand still and is desperate to be on the move. The other is quite content to sit out the porridge and wait his turn.
What a wonderful Monday.
