Captivating Victorian Architecture

Blackford Hill Observatory, Edinburgh.

It's on the doorstep, I see it almost every day, so why not capture it just the once? So much more interesting to look at than most modern buildings.

My chat today with fellow dog walkers on the hill reminded me to look out for young Michael Olson whose mum Jennifer keeps me posted on his spectacular running career. Only 13 years old and already making a name for himself. Great to hear that Edinburgh Academy have an enlightened attitude about his athletic prowess by being willing to be flexible about when he sits his exams.

Weather still very mixed. A cold front to the north and a warm one to the south are causing bitingly cold, high winds and rain. Disappointing month of May so far.

Ashleigh and Pudsey the dog are favourites to win 'Britains Got Talent' tonight, and Manchester City should win the English Premiership tomorrow on the last day of the season - and on goal difference! Priceless moments.

In between all the excitement I also need to get Shambelliedog trimmed this weekend for his SKC show on Friday at Ingleston. Never a dull moment!
