A Book, A Man and Five Buses
It's official. I am addicted to blipping. I won't bore you with the detail of how this shot came about but, suffice to say, it meant first standing at the wrong bus stop, then getting on the wrong bus, then getting off the wrong bus and then getting another four buses to my final destination. It's a long, long story. It wasn't, thankfully, a long, long journey.
Anyway, as soon as I saw this gentleman, I knew I had to have him (in the biblical sense of the word that is) but I had to wait a while as people kept getting between him and my camera. Irritating beyond belief! Patience won the day though and I'm quite pleased with the end result. I had a little bit of a dilemma however on whether or not to leave him in glorious colour or to turn the image into black and white. In the end, I decided on neither and went for a sepia tint which I think works quite well. This is my first foray into converting images into a different hue and, hopefully, it won't be my last.
Oh and as I'm also quite addicted to books, I'm quite proud of the fact that I managed to leave the book sale without a purchase! Go me!
Here's my song choice which is dedicated to the stranger with the book.
