A list of things I don't like about this time of year -



1.   Brussels Sprouts
Just heard an hour long programme of different ways to cook/disguise them to make them more palatable.  No thanks.  
 
2.  Queues in the Shops / Sales on Boxing Day


60% of shoppers say stress levels spiralled while Christmas shopping. The sales are a total frenzy with few genuine bargains to be had.
 
3. Adverts for Supermarkets

They now compete to see who has the best advert/soundtrack!
 
4.  Office Parties / Drunk people on the train

File under D for Disaster
 
5.   Adverts for Celebrity Perfume

Who buys this stuff?  
(They tell me Beyonce's Midnight Heat is the best!)
 
6.  Rubbish on the television

It gets worse!
 
7)  Turkey

Came across this quote - People moan about turkey being bland and dry, as if to suggest the rest of Christmas dinner is exciting. But it isn't. It's just a Sunday roast with a superiority complex. Turkey is merely the Lee Harvey Oswald of Christmas dinner, taking the blame when actually it's all a big conspiracy,  of underwhelming mulch on a plate. Yes, we've made that analogy and we're sticking to it.
 
8) People eating too much

Feasting on Christmas Day could see the average person eating the equivalent of half a pack of lard in saturated fat and as much salt as would be found in 50 packets of crisps, the British Heart Foundation has warned.
 
 
9) Christmas Songs : 

Slade get £1/2 million in royalties every year - and they  aren't the only ones.  Does no one write any decent new ones?!
 
10) Travel Disruption

Just to make things worse they do lots of engineering works at this time of year.
 
11) And worst of all -  People who make lists of things they don't like about Christmas.
 
Its a happy joyful time of year - why are people so negative!   Have a great Festive season especially if you are a Blipper.
