Up on the roof

Today's the day ........................ to retrieve

I'm hoping that if you look closely, you will be able to see what happened to me today.

That object lying in the guttering below the window is my mobile phone.  At a rough estimate, the distance from the guttering down to the ground where that lady is standing - is about 100ft.

The reason why my mobile is down there, is because it fell out the window.  And in answer to the inevitable question that must follow that statement - it was propped up at the window to try and lock into that elusive signal that is to be found here in the hills.  Someone (who shall be nameless) opened the window without realising that it was there - and out it went.  What's more - It spent all night out there before I went looking for it and discovered the ghastly truth.

It took a little man who knew how to open the window and who had a grabber thing on the end of a long stick to retrieve it.  I, of course, was too scared to even watch him doing it fearing that it might be him and the phone that fell the 100 ft.  But - retrieve it, he did. 

And everyone lived happily ever after ................
