Advent Day 17...
Third attempt of posting this! Not liking this new set up at all!
The Oast House is a popular watering hole in Spinningfields, Manchester's new business district. It was built as a temporary structure at the beginning of the last recession. Eventually it was intended to take it down and build another corporate, glass tower. But it proved so popular that it has been kept. It has a beer garden with a summer BBQ. In winter it is joined by a huge tee-pee heated by fire pits.
One corner of the beer garden is covered by an elegant, marquee style roof. The pillar that holds up the roof has been decorated with this flight of fibre-optic reindeer that change colour as you watch. It was being used as a backdrop to a lot of selfies yesterday.
