Playing with Myles

This is definitely an emergency blip as I took no photos all day.  Getting this uploaded presented its own set of issues.  It rained and rained and I drove and shopped and dodged the raindrops.  Had a nice breakfast with Ben and then lunch with Logan (unplanned).  I had to pick up some pants we bought a couple of weeks ago because they didn't fit.  He said he would be too busy with last minute presentations and projects as his semester winds down.  As it turned out as I got to the campus he was finishing up for the time being and starving (always).  So we did get to spend a couple of hours together going over his next big move.  Logan has loved playing basketball since he was about 7 years old.  In many ways it has defined who he is.  This year has been a real challenge for him because he and a coach he had great respect for are no longer agreeing on the best way to win games.  (Read between the lines.)  It has now become a source of frustration and depression for him.  After much soul searching and personal examination, he has decided that he can't play for this coach and maybe not for any coach.  Instead, he has decided to pursue coaching, hoping that he can make a difference for a younger player.  He is excited about that possibility and I will support him in his decision because he has not come to it lightly.  He will help his former high school coach over the winter break and get a "feel" for it.  He will get serious about his studies and pursue getting his degree sooner than he thought.
