Today has been mainly about the food. There was a relatively healthy start with porridge for breakfast but the rest of the day was just about piling on winter padding.

Lunch was a hot sausage and egg roll ( with brown sauce ) from the Loafer ( I bumped in to Dcred outside ). Dinner/tea was fish and chips, where Haley and Jonathan kindly posed for this photo and the day was finished off with the regular Wednesday cake night get together where Mrs P had baked some lovely mini gingerbread men and some very tasty ginger and chocolate reindeer muffins.


Like most of us on blip, I'm taking time to get used to the new look. There are a few niggles :

The main one is having to scroll to see all of a photo on a journal entry unless you click full screen view which makes the photo smaller, that all feels a bit counter intuitive.

The white background is a bit glary but generally most of the photos I've looked at look good against it.

The Thumbnail pages make it much easier to see entries that may have been previously missed, although I am going to miss the art of choosing a slightly misleading thumbnail :)

Only being able to see the previous 50 notifications wouldn't in general be an issue but If you've been away from blip for  few days or if people are very generous in giving hearts and stars ( as you have this week to my 1000th blip ) it does mean some will get missed.

I think it's probably going to take a bit of time for us all to get used to the new blip but we should remember that page layouts and the colour of the background aren't the things that makes blip what it is, it's the wonderful community on here and all the journal contents. Hopefully the changes won't drive too many people away and I'm sure any initial glitches with the new design will be ironed out over time.

I now need to go out for a run to burn off some of the calories consumed today but I'll leave you with my fish and chip dealers, so today's blip is .....
