Canadian Christmas decorations

My Canadian cousins gave us these glittery wooden leaves a few years ago. We don't really know what they are, but we sprinkle them on our marble fire surround at Christmas time.

It was a big day for universities today. In my tiny corner of academia the news was very good - indeed surprisingly so :-)

No exercise today: very busy working on a report that I really would like to get finished tomorrow ahead of the submission deadline on Monday.
