The gentle giants
Tonight was the monthly meeting of the Argyll & Lochaber Group of the Scottish Wildlife Trust. I've been Programme Secretary for a number of years and have just stepped down from having filled the Chairman's job for three years concurrently.
This evening our speaker was Shane Wasik, pony-tailed owner of Basking Shark Scotland, talking about 'Interactions with Basking Sharks'. An excellent talk, with wonderful pictures and videos, some taken by camera drone from the air. It's strange that comparatively little is known about these wonderful fish, the second largest fish in the world. I have only seen one on two occasions.
I've also discovered how to plot the location of a Blip without losing everything!
