Life is too short
when you’re happy
though it can drag on
if you’re sad

so cheap wine,
plenty of it,
might make life
seem not so bad?

I do understand
what she’s saying.
Her message
is oh so clear

but I suspect
a well-heeled gent
will be paying
for what she is offering there.
