Ayres Rock
We finally made it to the big rock! Wow, what a sight it is…..stunning. Took us just over 8 hours to get here, so far we have completed about 1,600km and have now decided not to call the RV the mobile bedsit, it will now be known as the ‘love bug’!! Lol!! The RV is not a kind thing to be around in 41 degree heat but we are having fun, keeping a sense of humour and remembering this is what memories are made of! I am probably never going to drive an RV again….but wow, how fab to drive one through the centre of Australia! Amazing wildlife and the sunrise this morning was just pure magic and I got to share it with my best friend.
Tonight we decided to go on the Sounds of Silence dinner excursion, a very lovely evening. Sadly we were not lucky with the weather in terms of setting sun and colours of the rock as it was slightly overcast (although it was 41 degrees!) but never mind, the stars at the end of the evening were stunning as the cloud had moved on. So my blip is of course of Ayres Rock and whilst its not the photo I had in my mind, it does have to appear on my journal.
Happy Friday evening to everyone in Oz and Happy Friday to all my lovely northern hemisphere blip friends.
