Soufrière Hills volcano

We had a tour of the Montserrat Volcano Observatory. Fascinating and awesome to learn about the peak explosions over recent years. Until 1995, the highest point on the island was Chancer's Peak (the point just above the right hand end of the green ridge). At its most active the volcano done grew at 30 cubic metres per second.
