Calf combover

Brighter and colder today. Spent a good part of the morning wiring up some new strip lights for the shed where the cattle crush is. Then hanging from the rafters wiring them in. Then nailing the rafters back in place cos they were so rotten that they moved with me climbing on them (either that or a pre Christmas diet is needed ! )
Got a text from the SAC to advise that there has been a change to the rules for next year regarding 'Greening ' and the EFA (Ecological Focus Area ). In short, will need to re plan everything we planned with the College adviser last week. More European hoops to jump through.
This calf was born last week,but still refusing to suck.Its markings remind me of an old lad that used to go to the Mart. His wig was either a hand me down or going very cheap,as it was a total different colour to his remaining hair round the sides. It used to look like a ginger tom cat sitting on his head.
