Kittens for Christmas

Not for always...at least that's how it is when you foster!

I've become the crazy cat lady over the past few months.  This fostering for the SPCA is a bit addictive.  They're bursting at the seams, so it means that every cat we can help out with, is that cat's chance at getting a fabulous home.

This time, we have another 4 kittens.  They're about 5 weeks old, and completely crazy.  I think they may be part rabbit with the amount of bouncing they do.  We picked them up this afternoon after school finished.

I was supposed to work today until half one, we had our Unit Christmas lunch, but I got a call just after midday to say that the Eldest was at sick bay, so had to ditch work to collect her.  I arrived not long before the bell for the last day of school for the year.

She's got a horrible cough and a high temperature.  I knew she would be hit and miss for getting through the day, but she really wanted to be there for the last day, so that she got her report and found out who her teacher is next year.

The Eldest keeps her lovely teacher.  We're thrilled with this.  Her report was glowing.  For core subjects, all above national standard (stupid system, but it's the measure) and everything else in the report showed that she's a young lady to be proud of.

The Youngest moves into the same cluster (year 5/6) as the Eldest.  She has a teacher who I have met a few times socially.  She seems very nice, and I'm sure the Youngest will enjoy that class.  She has plenty of friends in her class, so she's very happy.  Her report was also fantastic.  Above national standard for reading and maths, at national standard for writing.  The other areas were brilliant.
