Thank goodness.....

.....that bit's done. I spent the afternoon food shopping. We have been invited to friends for Christmas eve and Christmas day so I don't have too much responsibility for that. However we have a bunch of pals coming to supper on Monday. I didn't fancy the melee of all that pre-Christmas rush so I found everything I need today.

Mum and her pal Mr Alzheimer are going to my brother's for a week on Christmas eve, and I am soooo looking forward to the break from 'caring'. I don't always feel like caring so it's a word that sticks in my throat a bit - and makes me feel guilty. In the new year we start packing for Mum's move into a retirement home. I think that is going to be a tricky start to 2015, so I'm determined to make the most of my week 'off'.
