Bah Humbug!

Now that college has finished for Christmas, and the big day is approaching, I've decided it's time to read a little Dickens! I've been meaning to read A Christmas Carol for a couple of years now, but have never got round to it.

The film versions never really did it for me until the 2009 Robert Zemeckis version, which is apparently the version which is most faithful to the original Charles Dickens text, and the one (due to the special effects) which captures best the essence of the ghostly sequences described in the book.

Anyway I've just started, and I'll probably re-watch the movie version once I'm finished. So I'll reserve my judgement!
