Fremlin Walk, Maidstone

A walk into town today to do the last bits, we hope, of Christmas shopping and to buy the ingredients to make a few Christmas bakes including amaretti biscuits, biscotti and mince pies. In the end we did manage to get most things done and baked but it is difficult to know when to stop doing and getting things.

Earlier in the morning I'd gone swimming while Susan applied a thick layer of marizipan to the Christmas cake. Soon be ready for the icing. Now starting to think about the trip up to Scotland for Christmas. We're going on Sunday for the week. Looking forward to it once all the stuff is packed in the car and we're ready to go.
