The Twisted Hazel

...or others may know it as a "Corkscrew Hazel"...but what ever your description of this tree, we have one in our front garden.

My wife bought it a couple of years back and it has bedded in nicely to the front - not damaged by the recent rendering that was carried out to the property - and now just enjoying some winter sunshine.

The catkins are growing from it already and it is amazing the see how contorted - or twisted - the branches are........and as TWISTED is the theme of this weeks competition that myself and a few others are involved in....this may well be my entry for it!!
