Geneva Convention

We visited the Red Cross and Geneva Convention Museums today and this is the man who started it all following a particularly battle between the Austrians and the Italians...I think. Anyway the Red Cross ( reverse out of the Swiss flag) was set up as a neutral organisation to aid any people in a distress situation ( war, famine..) and  the Geneva Convention to set standards for non combatants in theatres of war.  And to this day , and from 1864... I think,  both organisation continue with their work . Wow
