Old & New

This little robin took a great interest in my husband setting up the new bird table and could hardly wait to give it a try.  You'll see why we needed a new one when you note the sorry state of the old one:-) 

The pole of the old one has been scratched to bits by our cat, but my husband has come up with a clever idea to stop him ruining the new one - cover it with wire netting!  We'll leave the old pole in the garden for Simba to scratch to his heart's content.

Drove in to Dundee this afternoon to pick up a Christmas present for my husband from our daughter and son-in-law.  It had been ordered under the Click & Collect scheme, which beats waiting in for days for a parcel and worrying whether it might arrive!
