P-bar

Apparently that is what parallel bars are when you are in the know Dad.....

After doing his wee gymnastics classes for year which seem to consist of star jumps and forward roll Alex went to the Falkirk School of Gymnastics classes and was quickly asked to try out for the boys club. He's been there since late October now and last night was the club show. 

Now we can't see him when he's training and getting anything out of a seven year old is impossible (like the time I picked him up from a lesson before summer) 
"How was it son"
"OK"
"Do much?" 
"Exercises and tumbles"
"That all"
"Aye"
What I didn't ask him was if he had met any of the Scottish mens Commonwealth Games squad that morning, my fault I guess...

Anyway, as well as the p-bars, there was the vault, floor and various jumps and somersaults. Absolutely amazing what he's doing so far after a few months. He does put in the practice though, the house is bouncing as I type, that will be the rolls into a handstand getting it in the living room.... 
Exactly one year ago he got his Level 1.... no idea what level he's at now...

He's seven year old and got a six pack, I see trouble ahead.....
