How it should be done.

Came home through the storm after an afternoon of cutting someone elses grass, to find that our farmer neighbour had decided to do the same...only his lawn-mower is bigger than ours, and the job was swiftly completed. The low sun always makes a perfect picture before the forager does it's work collecting the crop in the morning. Every year one field is cut three times for silage, the others being put down to maize and potoatoes in rotation. This reminds us so much of the day we moved in 22 years ago, on May 18th. It is sad though that the cows are not grazed also in rotation, as they used to be, partly due the the threat of T.B. They spend their summer in the barn now.........
