after the school concert party

I know this looks like a public school in Singapore or Hong Kong, but it's a New York City public school.
Treated to a frankly stupendous Xmas concert where the student chorus concluded by singing part of Mozart's Requiem and Ames' Gloria Fanfare, with student orchestra. You don't expect a professional musician to work really hard with kids who are super focused on science and math, but she did. It was a top-notch job. What I could see of the after-party was sweet and funny: apparently the kids presented her with presents, including the world's smallest violin for all the times she whined about their inadequate singing.
