Veni Creator Spiritus

Tonight Clare and I went to the Guildford Choral Society's Messiah at Guildford Cathedral.  Recent GCS performances have had disappointing attendances but last night the cathedral was packed: not a spare seat - the folk of Guildford evidently know what they like.

Guildford Cathedral is one of my favourite churches. Built in the mid-20th century, it is a spare gothic building, reminding me of some of the cistercian monastery churches I've visited in France.
