Yule Log

Ready for tonight! Nothing big, just a couple of friends, but there will be Feast, and also Fire, to mark that turn of the natural wheel that brings back the warmth and the light.

I'm not into any sort of religion, and I certainly don't believe in gods or supernatural beings of any persuasion... but the WInter Solstice is still worth celebrating. So we'll toast the log, sprinkle it with flour, and burn it. Maybe it'll bring good luck for next year :0)

Right. Must go and finish the soup, bake the ginger cake, and prepare the three-bird roast. Looking forward to this!
