Garden Birds (2) ...

Greay Sunday until now. Another frequent visitor of the backyard is the Collared Dove also known as the Eurasian Collared Dove. There were two of them last winter and spring.

They kept themselves often among the thick branches of an over 6 meters high conifer. Until last summer.

On a bright day in August, one of them fell prey to an unscrupulous peregrine. It was, of all things, devoured in our backyard ... :-|

Only this one is left now. This morning I could capture it in this beautiful light.
