It's Bananas out there!

SATURDAY

First we had Black Friday. 
Then it was Cyber Monday. 
Yesterday was Mad Friday. 
Today is Panic Saturday. 
Next Tuesday (between 1 and 2 pm) is supposed to be "Golden Hour" -the collective panic time for last minute gifts.

Is it media hype or has everyone just gone bananas? And then of course there's the January sales still to come!

After being out on the town last night I found myself wide awake at 5.15 am so went down for a cup of tea, a read of the on-line newspapers and a game of Candy Crush! Harriet had swapped her shift at the co-op for the early slot, and she was out of the door before 6am.

An easy morning, and down Halifax this afternoon to buy some Christmas presents. Over to the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds for some more shopping in the evening, and then a meal out at Nando's on the way home.

Just for good measure we called in at Tesco's (it was open 'til midnight) for even more shopping. There was no shortage of bananas in Brighouse.
