Take your fancy
I filled up the car tank with fuel this morning and then took a trip through the tripometer readings whilst I was waiting for the supermarket to open. Since buying it in March I have driven approximately 1,300 miles, average 44.1 to the gallon and 24 miles per hour. Now I know that looks as though I drive very slowly, but I do trot across to Milton Keynes fairly regularly at an average speed of say 55 mpg which suggests to me that driving into Bedford causes the biggest holdup as it's a 30 mph speed limit for the four mile journey.
I wasn't going to go over the top with the food shopping this Christmas so why was my bill more than double? It's because I went over the top again. The booze cupboard was topped up last weekend with the year's nectar points. Result.
Later on this morning I took a drive up the road to a small estate which has quite a variety of livestock. Unfortunately they were all well away from the footpath that skirts the estate but you may be able to see them in the distance. The water buffalo were out of range, but you should be able to see the llama, deer, Highland cattle and ducks.
