Duddo Stone Circle...

...just before noon on the shortest day, 2014. And this is about as bright as it got, all day! In the distance the Cheviot is hiding under heavy clouds. It felt chilly in the gusty wind but was really very mild for the time of year, and good to get out, if only for a short walk.

We had intended to take a picnic and go out for the day, but Mr M and I decided that we'd better get on with some of the things that we'd planned to do yesterday. Neither of us had the inclination to do much then.

So, with a rather heavy heart, I'm decorating the house, and tonight we'll light a candle or two. Solstice blessings, Blipfriends!
