Short days, #POTW

Today, the winter solstice, marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Interpretation varies, some hold this day as a recognition of rebirth, holidays, festivals, rituals or other celebrations. And on this day in 1844 The Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers opened for business starting the Cooperative movement. It's also the feast of Thomas, the doubter, patron saint of India.
