Last Light of the Shortest Day

..... was moving up the west face of the Grand Muveran after my pupil left, and I rushed down to the field below our house. Each one of the chalet windows in upper Forchex, was lit up by a final shaft of sunshine then the shortest day of 2014 ended for the people living there too. Winter has not started yet, something is wrong this year, Forchex should be covered in snow!
