David Sassoon library in Mumbai

today was the first day after a nasty cold that i could venture out into the city and its pollution.. we went to the Jehangir Gallery and from its roof this beautiful building was even more beguiling. the huge kites were circling above the tops of the neighbouring building ---so magnificent, their wings steering their huge bodies with infinite precision. the day was almost coming to an end, the sunlight lowering over the houses and sprinkling golden shimmers over everything in sight; we below already outside the reach of its beams - a relief after a hot day - but, for me, also a soft sign and a sudden sadness, fleeting but sharp:.another day is almost over: have you done all you can? can one ever do or be enough? and by whose criterion?
