Macclesfield Treacle Market

Mr A asked me last night what plans I had for today. I said nothing, so he suggested we go to Macclesfield.

It seemed a random suggestion but as we had nothing else to do I thought 'why not'?

He told me that he'd seen an ad on Twitter for the markets, which are held on the last Sunday of the month (except in December when it's the last Sunday before Christmas).
He had also seen that a particular trader would be there......Mama K!

We met Mama K earlier this year at a Manchester food festival; she does the most incredible Tex-Mex food; I was happy when Mr A told me he was taking me there for lunch!

We both had a burrito, with everything on, it was delicious (well worth driving an hour for)!

After eating, we had a walk around the markets then called into Costa (where I got this elevated view of the market) for a coffee.

The market closed at 3pm, so we decided to go to the cinema on the way home to watch Dumb and Dumber to (correct title, not a typo!).

It was chucklesome, a few jokes repeated from the original film but worth seeing.

It's been a lovely day out :-)
