Sol Lucet Omnibus. Leitz Summaron 35mm.
Today is the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, the shortest day of the year. Unfortunately, in Boston, Sol is nowhere to be seen; he is luxuriating on a beach somewhere in the southern hemisphere, leaving me no choice but to reach into my archives and publish this image from August 27. I chose another from the excursion for that day's entry. It was a lovely, warm summer morning and I went to the Royall House in Medford looking for Blip material. The Wiki entry on the place is here. Sol was very much in evidence that day and his light filtered down through the big old trees to pick out the brickwork.
