Delicate balance.
Today more than ever I am aware of the fragile and delicate balance of our lives.
Last night my Brother in law passed away.
My (ex) husband is the eldest of six children and David is the second youngest.
He was 40 and died of lung cancer. It was exactly 30 years ago that I first met him and I remember his wedding well and the birth of his six children
I am also the eldest of six and my sister, the second youngest, died in 2009 at the age of 42. From my own experience I know the massive effect their loss will have.
We will need to get a Manchester City shirt for #2boy as that is the dress code for the funeral. #1boy will not be back from Austrailia in time to attend.
#3boys team played the last game of their football season. They won 5-6 but #3boy picked up an injury, a very painful pulled calf muscle (ouch).
Today feels calm in a slow motion kind of way.
Life ebbs and flows and seems to take us often to places we would rather not be.
David will be missed beyond measure.
