The Shortest Day

Horribly wet and windy today!

We put on all our waterproof clothes and walked around the reservoir trying to make the most of the few hours of daylight.

A visit from our very special friend this afternoon was unexpected and delightful. We chatted for ages, the way you do when you are on holiday and you don't need to rush on to the next appointment.

This evening, Scottie5 and her brood joined us to watch the classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' and eat up some goodies.

The Christmas holidays are shaping up just perfectly!
